Default Got neutral?

My engines running strong now but I noticed that once I put my bike into gear while running I can't put it back into neutral unless I cut the engine off, then put it into neutral, then re start the engine. Any suggestions for a fix? I replaced the clutch cable and I have new clutch springs coming in the mail soon. Gonna check the thickness of the friction plates and warppage.

Also you can sometimes on bikes just give it a slight tap or let the clutch out a little.

Thank you both for your advice. I changed the oil and filter, cleaned up the clutch and replaced the old clutch springs with new ones. It took care of two problems that I was having, one being the neutral problem and secondly the bike would pull forward a bit when I put it into 1st even with the clutch all the way in but now it doesn't do that! Sweetness!!
