Not sure myself, but this post says the dealer is charging around $650, and this same post gives step by step instructions to doing it yourself...... for $650, I think I'll do it myself!!

my zx9 would run 650. dollars at the dealer, never mind all the extra bull that they say needs changing.
My first valve adjustment cost me 814 dollars... learn how to do it yourself... its not that hard
i did a post on valve adjusting the zx9-10 and the 6. (Search posts) it really does not matter what bike it is, its all the same really
the spec clearance will change on different bikes and motors... its easy getteing clearance specs online. or buy a cd manual from ebay cheap.
when your done you can hang the cd from your girls rear view mirror. so it can blind other guys on bikes trying to check her out....

ps i will posts pics one day for the valve adjustment thing..

yea... like i said... i can do it myself. i went to MMI. but, some things are just easier when you have a shop and surplus of shims. i called my dealer. $210 for the job, as i used to work with the guy he said he'd even cut a half hour off if i took the plastics and tank off beforehand.

yea, except that the only guy i let work on my 7r besides myself is marv at rocky mountain kawasaki. i used to work with him at cycles of boulder before they were bought out by colorado powersports. he's a standup guy and knows that i know my bike so there will be no "oh you need this and that too"

for real, I don't even let the dealer change the oil in my ride. Find a good perf. shop if you can.
