Default Fuel level low warning light adjustment

The fuel level low light is comming on at around 100 miles. I am only able to add 3 gallons to it to fill it back up. It is a 2008 1600 mean streak with a 4.5 gallon tank. Is there a way to adjust the low fuel level light so it will come on closer to a 1/2 gallon left in the tank.

Thanks in advance.

There is a level sensor switch in the tank on the 2000 classic. It looks to be adjustable, I cannot prove that yet without finding the adjustment in the manual, or having tore one apart.

Before tearing down the switch, make sure that you're fully filling the tank.
