Default Frame Sliders

how far should the sliders stick out from the fairings in order to provide addiquite protection in a slide? is there only one size? because mine seem to only stick out maybe an inch or two. And if they are suppose to stick out further can you put washers on there to help with the length?

Everyone has their favorite slider. I would think that a longer bolt with more than one washer may cause a bigger chance of shearing the bolt or causing damage to the area where the bolt is placed. ie engine case if that is where it is located. I liked the build on these sliders personnally.

Mine stick out about 1 1/2" once the glass it placed it looks like.

Sliders are there to protect the frame not the glass. Mine stick out about 1.5 to 2 inches and the last 2 times down, on left and 1 right side, the sliders saved the glass from any major damage.

The Fairings, should have said plastic that is what all the street ones are made out of.

I have found that the nylon or derlin sliders will work the best. Stay away from the billet ones, they look cook but do not work for sheet!
