Default choke/throttle issues

I haven't ridden my bike for a few days, partly because I don't have a helmet and partly because I took it out and realized the front tire was flat. Today I pumped up the front tire and turned it on with the choke all the way up. I left it on for a bit but it had a really hard time building up to higher rpms. It will usually stay about 6 grand with the choke all the way up, and do it pretty dam quick. Now I realize that I haven't taken it out for a few days but this was ridiculous. When I turned the choke up, it'd go to 4000 and then drop back down to two. It would do this again and again and again and when I turned the choke off, it would completely turn off the first few times, and idle at about a grand after it had been on for awhile. I took it for a spin around the block, came back, and tryed it again and it was doing the exact same thing. I let it just idle for a few minutes more, put the choke back on and it shot back up to about 6000. I don't get what's going on but it's makin me fkn nervous. Any clues guys?

On all my bikes with a similar problem, it was dirt in the carbs.. try running some carb cleaner through her and see if that fixes her. I bet it will...GL...

I hate carb cleaner. But that is just me. I prefer to take the manual out and the carbs and totally go through them.

ok, so I realized something. When it was going to 4000 and dropping back to 2000 and going back up, It was on the stand. The reason it was going at 6000 steadily was because it was on the kick stand. Anyone know why this would be?

So you're saying the only time it varies in rpm is with the side stand down?

when the centerstand is down (back tire lifted off the ground). It works fine when it's just on the normal kick stand. I got some carb cleaner and I'm going to see if that changes anything up.

A good carb cleaning is not hard to do, just make sure you get all 8 jets out and pay closest attention to the pilot jets. I use about 5 cans of spray cleaner, make sure you spray into all the small holes and where the jets thread into the carb.
If you just spray cleaner into the carbs it will do very little.
