I had my numbers crossed a little..... on my bike I have a 4.5gal tank, a fuel light comes on when I am down to .9gal left in the tank. By this point I would have 160miles on my trip meter (lately) when it goes to the reserve automatically (no valves for me)......so 160miles at 3.6gal......that comes out to roughly 44.5mpg


Alex, there are two different length tubes on your fuel tap valve going into your gas tank, one will let the gas flow intill about a gallon is left in the tank(on), and another tube that will let the all the fuel flow(res). This is just a safety measure so that you never run out of gas all the time.
