here's some on ebay. complete front forks for cheap. NOt sure if they would interchange on yours. You might double check the part numbers on bike bandit between the years.

That's probably the actuator that hooks up to the brake lines. My problem is that the anti-dive unit's acuator is collapsed. The actuator is covered by a rubber nipple, but the nipple is bonded to the unit and can't be removed. I can see through a small hole in the top of the nipple. It looks like their is a C-ring retainer under there, and once removed the internals could be unthreaded out of the unit. I'm not that brave though. I can just hear a hundred tiny parts scattering across my garage floor every time I consider it.

Yep, that would be a good thought to consider.

Thanks for the links.Much appreciated. I guess $133 isn't too bad, since I only need one. But I would just as soon get rid of them altogether. I'd rather spend that money on some decent springs. Plus, I'll never be satisfied until I know how those F-ing things work!

I just redid my forks on my gpz900 and i redid the anti dive units.
It wasnt as hard as it seems and the valve on the inside i just cleaned out, mine were working ok but im also considering changing my forks to something newer.
on my 900 the air suspention is tied together with a link tube but on the 1000s they are 2 seperate air units
ANyone know if you can just change the forks for newer non anti dive units?and just delete the entire shebang and run new brake lines??

Wouldn't it be possible to just make a block off plate and bypass the anti dive valves?

Block off plates would work depending in how the oil flows through the units. It would either work or it make the forks even stiffer than the malfuctioning unit would. Being in the dark sucks. I'm going to try to see if I can't find an old timer kawi mechanic around town to shed some light on the situation.

Iplanas,
Did you take the units themselves apart?
