Adjust my suspension

Adjust my suspension
I want to adjust my susupension on my 04 Vulcan 800 Classic. My rear suspension is set on the factory setting (7) and I would like to dial it down to (5), anyone know how? I have heard that you need a special tool to do it. One dealer that I spoke with about it actually asked me if I was sure if the rear suspension was adjustable! What the hell... Let me know if this is a dealer job or what guys.

my dads got an 02 honda shadow, and the rear suspension is adjustable on that, actually now that i think of it ive realyl never seen any cruiser with out adjustable rear suspension, im sure with yours being an 04 it must be adjustable, does it just twist?

RE: Adjust my suspension
There is a tool made for adjusting the rear suspension on bikes. Your local shop should have these on hand for you to buy, and it shouldn't take you very long to adjust it yourself. Its shaped like a question mark and goes on a ratchet or breaker bar for more leverage. According to the parts diagram for your bike, you have an adjustable shock.
