Question Adding a Yoshimura RS-5 to an 07' ZX6R???

Hello,
I have an 07' ZX6R and I bought a Yoshimura RS-5 Slip on exhaust for it. I needed an extender to make it fit right, and now it sticks out the back of the bike farther than I see it on other peoples bikes. I have looked online and on everyone elses bike, the pipe only sticks out the end as far as the stock pipe did. Am I just a moron that just didn't line it up right or is there something that I missed that i needed to modify to make it fit right. I was under the impression that it should just slide in and tighten down. Was I wrong? Anyones feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I will take some pics tomorrow afternoon. I have it torn apart right now trying to figure it out, but that will make it easier to show you the parts that are now lining up. From what I can tell the S-bend part of the snap on muffler just isn't bent right. It hits a part under the seat. So it either plugs in and hangs way down, or it lines up properly under the seat and won't plug into the mid pipe. I'll get the pics on here as soon as I can. Thanks.

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to say that I figured it out. I tore it apart the other night and realized I just had to take the springs that hold the S Bend to the actual pipe off and rotate it a bit. The funny thing is, after I got the whole thing put together with it like that, I decided I liked it better the way that I originally had it. So I put it back the way I had it. LMAO! Alot of work to figure out that I didn't have to do anything. Thanks for the responses. I'll Still get some pics on here so you guys can see how I have it. Talk to you guys soon.

congrats. yeah, keeping the springs off until you are sure of the alignment and placements are key factors.
