Default A7 avenger 1969

hallo everybody,
my name is Francesco, or Franz for friends , I am italian so I apologize for my mistakes here in this post and in the future, I hope to manage to write as clear as possible.
I have a problem with my old motorcycle, a beautiful a7 avenger from '69. I am a newbe so maybe it is a stupid problem and I don't understand what it is, but here we go:

when I start my motorcycle it sounds like I am giving full throttle. I checked the wires inside the two side carburators and on the handlebar. I can't see anything wrong, but maybe the problem is inside them. it seems also that if I choke, the situation gets even worse. the first time it happened in public and it was very embarassing.

is there anybody who could help me in some ways?
thank you for the answers.
Franz

Welcome to the forum Franz.....

First thing I would check would be the adjustments on the throttle cable. Have you checked the idle adjustment screw? Have you manually tried to open and close the butterflies without using the throttle?

the throttle cable is ok and the adjustments too, but I haven't tried the butterflies manually, you mean those in the carburators, right? I tried them using the throttle and they looked perfect to me... but of course I am gonna try them manually.
thank you.

ok,
now I checked the butterflies and cables, they seem ok.
I wonder if it can be something with the choke wire.
Can it be that the choke is not letting enough air in, and as a consequence the carburetors let more fuel in the cylinder?

I found out that when I choke the rpm go down immediately.
