Default Is this an 84 KDX 250?

I just purchased a bike and was told it was an 84 KDX 250. I just looked at the rims and looks like they are dated 86. I tried calling Kawasaki today but didn't answer. Here is the numbers in the body and engine

body: JKAD7MB18EA003282
engine: KHIDX250AE008 900.

Iam trying to get parts for the bike and don't want to get the wrong parts if its the wrong motor. Airbox says DX 250.

Here are parts I need if anyone can help.

kickstart
CDI box
flywheel cover
airbox cover
rear fender
brake lever and clutch and brake cable
front headlight
fairings.

Thank you. I noticed that the left front motor mount is missing too. Maybe I will fab something for that.

Alot of the pics were dark but I can surely say that it's a 1981-1984 KDX. I had a 1984 rare red model KDX200 and the frame was the same as the bike you have pictured right down to the side handles. It be easier to narrow it down if you had the plastics. Can you get me a pic of the pipe side of the bike? I'll check the engine number you've provided against some parts diagrams and see If I can get a year for you.

Hey Mike, Thank you. Yes, here are pics of the pipe side. If you need anything else, let me know. Also will a flywheel cover from an 84 KDX 200 fit my 250? Thank you. Craig.

Ok, I found out the body and motor are definitely an 84. Is there a list that tells me what parts from different models I can use for this bike? Thank you. Craig.

For parts you can go to www.kawasakipartshouse.com
If they don't have the part you need, at least they can give you parts diagrams with part numbers.

You can get alot of answers and after market parts from Fredette racing they specialize in KDX parts.
www.frpoffroad.com

Also for KDX's only go to www.dirtrider.net/forums3/forumdisplay.php?f=6

They will have the answers you need. Good luck with the bike the KDX's are monsters, let me know if you need anything.
