Default 82LTD Problem, please read

I have an KZ750LTD i have had it for a few years with no problem. Out of nowhere it started turning over slower and slower(within the period of a day).
thought it was the battery at first so i charged the battery, then hooked it back up and it started right up. i cruised around, came back home, shut it off. when i tried starting again (even with jump start) and got NOTHING but a click click click, but the headlight and every other light were working fine. the voltmeter gave me a normal reading aswell wich is why i don't think its the battery at all. anyone help?
Matt

Check and clean all the connections first. Starter could be going bad?

I have no clue. Should be fairly easy to look up on line. Another option is to take the starter to an electrical rebuild shop, have them diagnose and r/r if needed.
