Default 2005 Kawasaki 636 Trouble!

I have just recently purchased a 2005 Kawasaki 636 this month & I have a problem with it. The bike was recently serviced and everything but while I'm speeding on 2nd/3rd gear the bike shuts off on me! the FI (check engine light) comes on and I can't start my bike for a minute or two..does anybody know what is wrong?

Thanx

Sam

sounds like it could be the tipover sensor getting messed up not sure, thats a wierd one.

check to see how loose your kickstand is, if you hit a bump hard enough sometimes it can make the sensor kick in and turn the bike off, my buddies zx10r did that a couple times from coming down from wheelies. check battery terminals for tightness also

still kinda new to bikes so I'm not really sure about the TIP SENSOR..& I haven't ridden on bumpy pavement yet so the bike shuts off on smooth flat pavement but I'll check the kick stand & battery terminals though!..thanx for the tips...

those would be my bet as well. I would just bypass the kickstand sensor. just make sure you don't forget to put it up before moving.

i wouldn't bypass it, that could lead to some major trouble someday unexpectedly.

But a temp bypass is a good troubleshooting method.
