1995 zx7r rear shock

Default 1995 zx7r rear shock

hi there. have a zx7. getting ready to replace my rear shock. is it better to rebuild it, buy new one or ??? do you know what unit to purchase or shop to send it in for service.

hmm,,,,,ok.....what are your plans for your ride? Street, Strip, Race
Is it a spring issue for your weight? A dampening issue? SAG is?

As you can see, there are a Lot of questions.

actually...it is just for the street. this is a 25 year old bike. SAG..will do later.

i looked up at Ohlins shocks....man oh man.,...they are pricey but really good

agreed, but the ride that is set up for you will make a real difference.
I run a fox on my '90 zx7 and penske shocks on my 6rr and 10r. Yes, they are spendy as well.
but, for a street ride, sag is a big deal
Then your front forks need looked at. Stock? what are your plans for the front?

thanks for the feed back. front forks are stock....i just service them. dont want anything high performance, as this is just my ride for crusing. i do have a zx10r with brembo brake system and Ohlins front and rear suspension.
