i need to bring he bars up and back.Motorcyle Larry says he has em but I can't get him to answer if theres a lip on top to secure the 88 bars as they fit over and on the fork tubes.don't know how the new gen fit on the forks

 

The 500 has been unchanged throughout its lifespan. With few exceptions the parts on your 88 are interchangeable with a 2010, you should have no problems fitting the bars to your ride. Get some pics when you get it settled.
