1983 KZ750 LTD Carb Issues?
I'm new to motorcycles, I just acquired a 1983 KZ750 and it starts and idles ok, and I can rev up the motor slowly, but if I turn the throttle quickly or try to rev it rapidly, it kind of dogs. It sounds like it is starving.. I took apart the carbs and cleaned out the components, and checked out the floats and the diaphragms and they all seem to work properly. I'm going to check the fuel flow from the tank hopefully tomorrow.
If anyone has experienced this or has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.

Not sure. My first guess is float height and basic adjustments after a full cleaning like you said that you have already done. Then check your carb synch. Good luck and keep us informed of the progress
ok I'll have a look, is the goal of the flat top of the float to be as level as possible? or higher?
Because they were kind of sagging down and we tweaked that little pin spring so that they sit more level.

Check here for your manual and possible info https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_267008/tm.htm
I didnt see my manual there, but thanks. I've cleaned out the carbs up and down, the floats all function properly. What I have found though is that the 1st and 2nd, (left most cylinders) are not firing correctly. The right side two cylinders are firing perfectly, the headers get real hot. It seems like that when its idling and I try to rev it real quickly, it does not pull in air properly or something.
We checked the plugs and there all fine, its getting spark to them all. We then checked compression in the cylinders, they are all around 130. Could this be the left coil? We are also worried about possible engine problems, like perhaps the intake valves aren't doing their job? Or maybe the timing chain could have skipped, (though I feel like there would be problems across the board if that was the case, not just the left two cylinders). If anyone has any ideas, please help!
Thanks

I am having chat issues with a fellow member, but he says that the advance rotor tends to seize up on those and will cause troubleshoot problems. The only manual I had on that was the twin cylinder. Guess it is more GPZ based of an engine.
edit: So I will look in my gpz stuff.
