Default 1982 750 Spectre Carb Problems

I have installed a set of carbs from a 1982 Spectre on my son's 1981 kz750. They will not run the bike at any rpm above an idle. The set looks the same as the original set with the exception of two extra vacuum connections. One is between the
#1 & #2 carbs and the other is between the #3 & #4 carbs. Aside from that everything looks okay. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Do the needles, jets all match up between the two? I do not know if there were the same or not. But if it is idling, curious to see what your handy carb synch tool tells ya!

Check your original carb specs re: jetting. Check a diagram to see what those lines are for. Check the plugsafter you get it warmed-up and try to give it some throttle. Adjust accordingly. (If it's idling, you're getting flow. The rest is just getting the mix right.)

Eureka!!! The jets and needles were not the same size! We swapped the needles and jets from the old carbs and now we have the full range of RPM's. We still need to iron out the fine tuning kinks but I think were on a roll. Get it? On a roll? Anyway, Thanks for the help.

Default Fuel and air lines for a dummy

Does anyone have a picture or could describe where the fuel lines as well as the air lines go on the carburetor for the 750 spectre? I was given this bike and I am very much a novice. It is a 1982 and in great shape. There was not any
Filters in the air filter box so I removed the carburetors and the filter box. I cleaned the bike up and replaced the box with individual filters, reinstalled the carburetors but do not know where the lines go. Any help would be fantastic.
