Default '06 ZX6R Possible fuel pump problem

Hey all, new to the boards but thought I'd give this a shot...

So for the fun winter season (not so much) my bike has been resting in the garage... I usually start it up about 2-3 times a week to let it run and keep it healthy, but this time I left it for a week by accident, and now it won't start. I saw another post similar, in that I can hear a low ticking just below the fuel tank, sounds to me like it MIGHT be the pump but I'm not sure... I just got the battery recharged today and will try that when I get home, but my other thought was maybe the fuel broke down... are there any good ways to clear the fuel lines at home, without having to take it in? If its a simple clog I would like to just get it cleared myself if possible... if its the pump then yeah, I'll take it in for that.

Oh and the tank is about 1/4 full, and I've mixed in some fuel stabilizer but I don't know if it helped.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys (and gals!)

It is easy to remove the feul tank and clean the hoses, I would do that before I took it in.

I think you're over complicating things there. First off, starting your bike up every couple days is gonna do more harm than good if you're not letting the bike warm up completely. (i.e. about 10-15 minutes every time.) It's best to just take out the battery for the winter, keep a FULL tank of gas w/stabilizer, and get the tires off the ground.

About the clicking noise, It's probably a discharged battery causing that from all the short start-ups and cold weather.

I would fully charge your battery, turn your key on in neutral and you should hear your fuel pump priming.
Your battery should not be dead from sitting for a weak though.
My bike wouldn’t start once when I let it sit for a week or so. I had to crank it over for like 15-20sec and it finely fired up but I had to hold the throttle down for a little while. it never did it again

mine dies from sitting a week. i ended up wiring the battery tender quick disconnect to it so if i know im not going to ride it for a week i can just remove 2 screws on the side panel and plug it in for a few hours. kind of a pain in the *** sometimes.
