i have a 02 kx250 an i cant figure out whats wrong withit i start the bike up an warm itup an try riding it around ani gas it an all it will do just rev real high an goes nowhere it started doin this when i was out riding in the woods an opend it up an hasnt been running right scince if anyone had a problem like this please help me the bike fires up first kick no problem it trys rolling when i pop it into gear i know that theclutch need ajustment but any other ideas would help lol i can go threw the gears an slowly ride it around the yard but it has no power

 

I would do just what you recommended. Adjust the clutch cable. You may need a new cable though. Follow your manual, and good luck.

you might even go as far as pulling out the clutch plates and inspecting them for a glassed look meaning the clutch plates are fried. cable adjustment first, the if no improvements, plates then post back so we know.
