I posted in the zx9 section of the forum but got no replies. I have a 02 zx9 and the frame cracked. I replaced it with an 03 frame that was in perfect condition and put my 02 fairings on it. The problem is the frames must be diferent even though the motor and every thing bolted up because now the 02 fairings rub the front tire when i turn sharp. Are the 02 and o3 sides and lower diferent? They look the same. I called all of the kawi service centers for 100 miles and still came up with nothing. Help, i dont want to run my ninja naked.

 

What numbers does the fiche tell you on the plastics? Do a parts number diff between the two years. If the parts numbers match, then something else is happening to cause your issue.

 

I went on kawasaki's site and looked at every thing from 00 -03 and all of the #s are diferent. I know the 01 and 02 interchange but they had diferent part #s as does 03. I looked up pictures of the 03 and the fairings look the same. I am stumped. Maybe the 03 fairings are shorter on the front but look the same as 02?

 

Color of the part will have a different part number.
