I think that's (their statement) an over-simplification of a "problem" diagnosis. You're right, Matt; I think some of the rattle is inherent in the design of the top end. My 9 always has some cam chain rattle when leaned over on it's stand while warming up. (I try to sit on it during warm-up, which I think IS important on these motors.) This reviewer (above) has obviously wrung the crap out of his bike to arrive at these complaints.
Will keep my eye out for a rear cowl. Likewise, if YOU come across one for a '94-'97 ZX9, please keep me in mind, OK? I tried to buy a carbon fiber one years ago, but the seller backed out--refunded my money because his provider couldn't deliver. Some of the c/f guys will custom mold one for you, but be prepared to pay.

just buy the 91 tail section then. Most people fall down more than once. So ride safe.

thanks for all the help :-)
that i'll mail the last one and see if they ship to the uk ...i never have a pillion and like the look ...

mine rattles like a good un most of the time but is high miles , and i suspect has had a bad life , but starts first time and never lets me down ...
its not so bad when warm .. whilst cold sometimes sounds like there's a ball bearing bouncing around , we've looked at it and all is sound ... just tired i think .. i certainly will look out for one for jeffzx9 ... i might be the proud owner of a zx11 this time next week :-)
