Sup bros here are some pics of the ride. Hwy 2 was closed about 20 miles so that ride was cut a little short. Still some nice pics. This is the view from where the road was closed; also saw a coyote up there too. There was still a little snow melt running across the raod in a few places.

The mountain behind the tree on the right side is the back side of Mount Baldy.

It is a quick ride out of the pines and down to the desert

Was probably 80 degrees, perfect for ridding.

Well got back to the truck and loaded up, now maybe you would think that this was a waste but oh no, I was a mere 30 minutes from the bottom of hwy 18 and it wasn’t closed. I have driving this road on and off all my life but never on a bike. I was not disappointed, what a blast. The bottom of this hwy the first 5-8 miles are long sweepers that you can hit pretty fast, I m ay go back and spend the whole day just there next time.

Up higher it is very twisty and is lots of fun. Now I am no expert canyon rider and it is a lot more dangerous than the track for sure. There is little room for error and you have to practice common sense or you won’t just run off the track you will run off the side of the freaking mountain. Not bad though I will be back for more for sure and can’t believe I have not been hitting these more often.

Well here is some more pics. 1st one is up where it starts to get more twisty and yiu can see the marine layer that is covering the valley below.
