Tach Gauge not matching engine
Hi all - I was out yesterday and when I took off I noticed that my tach was really high and did not match the engine sound. The rpm's were nearly doubled of where they normally are for the speed and gear I'm in.To top it off, when I got near the red line, the engine baffled and I couldn't get anymore power out of the bike.I stopped and restarted twice, thinking it was some fluke - but no change...Any thoughts? Any would help.Thank you.Cory[/align]

Sounds like a Slippppping clutch to me.
Before replacing a clutch though, make sure your clutch cable has some slack in it when the engine is fully warmed up.
