Default Shorties

So suprakawigrl is helping a member out (me!) with some levers from her store. Before I place an order, something dawned on me. Do shorties have a less likely chance of being damaged in a crash instance? Follow up question for 10 pts: does this mean more damage to the clipons since the lever isn't taking the initial impact?

Short levers generally get damaged less, can't answer clip-on question

Yes of course they do that's why they make them. As far as the clipon goes once you go to say none stock clipon like vortex the replacement bars are about 15.00, considerable cheaper then say the CRG or Piazo levers.

Levers only snap off on impact (where they snap off is the key), the bar ends still take the brunt force no matter what.

Its still 85-100 for the lever or 15-20 for the bar. You can also get folding levers that will take more punishment before they break and shorties seem to last longer then the regular levers because they do not stick out as much and tend to let the bar take the hit.
