Default riding in the rain/wet

I've been riding for around 3 years, but there are still some instances when I feel like a newb.

I dont know what it is, but if it is raining and the road becomes wet, or if the road is wet from a small puddle or water sprinkler or whatever....I just about freeze.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not leaning to the extreme when taking corners or curves or anything, but I have this incessant fear that as I'm leaning (even the slightest bit), the tires will slip and I'll lowside. This fear comes whether i'm going 45 mph, or 80.

Is this fear completelyunrealistic? Anyone ever laid it downin this manner? [sm=smiley24.gif]

Sounds like you have a healthy fear of wet roads. Keep it that way. Relax, slow down, give yourself plenty ofstopping/following distance and you'll be fine. As far as cornering, keep the bike up right as much as possible.

Practice, practice, practice. The more you ride in the rain, the more you'll get used to it. Actually, I kinda enjoy it. (Except for that time in Daytona; see an earlier post...)

Sometimes i feel the same way, even more when following someone they love to brake for no reason at all, i just give alot of room for error maybe to much but better safe then sorry. Corners i just take as they are but safe

I think most people feel the same way. I know I do about wet roads. I don't mind riding in the rain as long as I have my rain gear on, but I still slow down everything when it's wet.
