what's wrong with some neon in the fairings? i think it can look tasteful if done right.


sportbikes have become a 'fashion trend' around here lately and it's getting really lame. there is a group here called 'new breed' and they are the definition of squids. makes everyone on a sport bike especially a young guy like me look like crap. the only gear they wear is the helmet and jacket they were given when they bought the bike "cuz it looks cool and matches" and they don't consider anyone a true rider that doesn't 'stunt'. there are a bunch of them and they even have groupies so everyone gets a bad name here and it sucks!

and jeff i actually think some lighting in teh bike fairings can be beneficial to safety. that whole visibility thing.

I was thinking about putting some on too when i got mine. I always thought the harley's with the random LEDs looked pretty sweet and it definitey did add to the visibility, because you dont have headlights on the side right? But I'm also worried about being pulled over/ticketed for it which is enough for me so say no. Toggle switch? "Neons? Officer i have no idea what your talking about..."

 

I think neon is for puzzies. Bikes should be simple and fast. Hell, as hot as my 14 runs in the summer, it would probably melt the led's and the wiring. To me neon on a sport bike is like putting leather streamers on the Raptor jet fighter plane, just does not belong!
