Default Question on new bike for a "big guy"

Ok, I'm thinking of getting a new motorcycle. The KE is fun, but I can't cruise down the highway with friends. I'm 6'5", 240lbs, so I look something like a clown on a mini bike on the KE. I want to get a 650R or 500 Ninja, but I was wondering if anyone tall owns one and could give me what they think of comfort/power/etc. Most reviews I've read online the auther is 5'10" 160lbs or something like that. LOL

Anyone???

What kind of riding do you do/want to do? There are plenty of good, used 600's out there, but if you're convinced you need a new one, tell us more about your plans. I'm assuming you prefer sport versus cruiser or dual purpose?

I don't think that there is one sport ride out there that will cruise 12-14hrs straight that is comfy.

I'm a pretty big guy my self. I have an 04 zx6. I love it. Before I got the ninja I tried all the other jap bikes. CBR was way to small for me. I looked like a gorilla humping a foot ball. The R6 was kind of the same. The GSXR was nice but not as comfy or roomy as my zx6.

Basically I'll just be cruising with friends, with the occasional run maybe down the 1320 when I'm not racing my mustang. But for now, just to be able to cruise with my friends. I'd prefer to get a new one. My budget is about $6500 and the 650R fits right in there. I was concidering a SV650s too, but I like the looks of the 650R.
