overheating

Default overheating

i have a 06 zx6r and i took off the radiator and refilled it and now it overheats and boils out the overflow hose i think it is air locked how can i remove the air is there a air bleeder valve ..........need help

Why did you remove the radiator? But you are probably right about the air entrainment. Sometimes you can just loosen the top hose ( with cold motor ) start the bike and let it warm up. The coolant circulation will burp the air out the opening you created at the loosened hose. Some bikes do have bleeder screws but I am not familiar with 6R's. Go to the manual section and grab a manual. See if it has a coolant bleeder screw.

The thread says "Manuals" which are in fact in the Gen Discussion area.....lol check that first. But yes, if you need more info, I do have that manual as well.

all good and a bag of chips u do need a program to open the RAR file. i grabbed RARZILLA or whatever, it's free.

does anyone know if there is some way to plug/seal a unknown hole in a 06 zx6r radiator with out having to buy a new one
