New bike
I just bought a 2004 ninja 250 not new to riding been on bikes since i was 16 dont do much freeway driving so i fiq it would be a good bike around town easy to maneuver het thru traffic its a great bike i love it but im having trouble with the idle more so wen its cold i started it this morn out the choke at half way st sat there at idk 3 grand for like 1 min then died started right back up so i just held the throttle til it warmed up drove it 4 miles to work wen i got there let go of the thottle and it died fig i would throw some seafoam in it i know it sat around for quite awhile

Sounds like the most likely culprit is a partially plugged pilot jet, probably from gas varnish. Give the seafoam a try. It works for some folks. But if that doesn't do the trick you may be in for pulling the carb and cleaning, or better yet just replacing, the pilot jet.
