Motorcycle for a 4 season car replacement?
I'm trying to minimize the cost of personal transport as much as possible. I'm looking into a motorcycle. From what I gather, the yearly cost of ownership including gas, insurance, and maintenance for a 40 mile per day or 14,560 miles per year average should be about $1,800/yr for a motorcycle.
I'm looking for practical advice, I've never ridding a motorcycle. I'm currently looking at the Kawasaki KLX 250 because it's low cost and high mpg.
What should I practically expect to spend annually? Can it be ridden in the the New England winter? How does winter effect maintenance? Anything else I should know?
Thanks
