Just got a scuffed-in race compound Dunlop put on my rear rim (to match the front). Yes; on a streetbike that's a short-lived thrill because they wear out quickly (especially on my old heavy '95 9R). BUT!! My racing buddy gives me his cast-offs so cheaply, it's like a drug habit! And,....um, why yes, race compound tires are fun on the street.
