Got quiet here. Winter season set in for good, huh.

OK, so you plan for a long trip with little chance of servicing done in a decent garage in case something goes wrong.You plan to go across swamps, steppesand desert. Which spare parts should youpack, what to look out for? I suppose spare sprockets, bearings, spokes, sparkplugs, duct tape, filters, and engineoil are a must, what else?

maybe a gel seat... but you would not take it with you..well you would..but it would be on the bike..haha

 

What is the defn: of a long trip? 400miles?

 

Long trip would be 1500 miles+, IMO.....

Swamp riding would be awesome to do! we need pics when you do this...

 

Definitions vary, but I agree that a day ride of 1200 miles is good.

1200 miles on the street would be like 50 miles in the swamp tho...

 

a piece of wire, tube of jb weld, zip ties, tire patch kit, master link for chain, small tube of greese, first aid kit for yourself. booze.

 

and some tools + a major overhaul of the bike before you set out. There's still enough time for all of this till september, but we still think of going in SUVs instead as the real issue is the range. One tank will get you 186 miles tops... still figuring that one out.
