I came out of work to go home yesterday afternoon.i go to turn off my alarm "scorpio" im pressing the button nothing happens. i look at my remote and it says unlocked.i thought thats funny i set my helmet on the seat and the alarm goes off. the battery gauge says one bar left.so lucky i carry a little mag lite that has a AAA battery in it and swaped them and it worked just fine.so i think from now on ill carry a extra battery for that reason and not let it get down so low.

 

Good lesson to learn! So if you hadn't had an extra battery, you wouldn't have been able to disarm the system? I don't know much about security systems and such - just curious.....

 

i guess i could take off the back seat and unplugg if i had to.I think im not sure.

 

I looked in my manuel for the alarm and it dont say what to do if the battery is dead in the remote. unplugg it if i had to. or look like im riding a stolen bike down the road with the alarm going off.....lol

 

I thought you were going to say that your helmet fell off the seat and got scratched; I never set my helmet on the seat, on the ground or on the mirror.

Glad it was not a helmet mishap.

i had to send my scorpio back because it wouldnt disarm and arm, and now its doing it again despite them claiming they fixed it, and i have changed the battery on the controller a few times with a known good battery. nothing is worse than getting stuck in aparkin g lot waiting for your alarm to disarm.. mine will take up to 30 mins to disarm. i have heard that this is common with scorpio alarms.

 

30 minutes????? dang, that would suck.

 

what do you mean 30 minutes to disarm ? shouldnt you just push the button and beep beep done ?
