Default KLX 300 Cold Starting/Riding

Hello group,

I’m considering getting a KLX 300 and would want to upgrade the exhaust to a louder one, however, I know this will tick my wife and my neighbours off when I leave at 06:30 in the morning for work. Can I simply start the bike and leave immediately or does it require several minutes to warm up before a ride away?

Thanks.

Highly recommend the 300SM. It's the most enjoyable bike I've ever ridden. After the oil circulates, if you ride it gently until it warms up, it should be ok. You have to be you but I've never felt entitled to tick off my fellow inhabitants with a loud exhaust.

Ya. I went ahead and got a different exhaust. It’s still not as loud as most Harley’s, so there is that. I also hardly ever use it in the typical sleeping hours. So there is that as well. Additionally, if I ever do use it early, I don’t idle. I start & immediately start riding, at lower speed so it’s not too loud.
