Default Ideas on Chain Lube????

I was looking at some different kinds of chain lubes and found this one. What you think? Good or not?

My recommendation is to keep your chain clean. Put your bike up on the rear spools, take an oil drain pan and fill about an inch with kerosene. Take a parts brush and slowly; carefully, scrub the chain against the rear of the drive sprocket (to help minimize fling.) After you clean the gunk out, take a shop towel and dry off. If you do this once a month or so, depending on how much you ride, your chain will run smooth for quite a while. You can apply whatever lube you wish, but most chains are lubed between the plates. Only a minimal amount of lube should suffice. I find that lube seems to attract more grit and dirt than it is worth.

I use an aerosol type chain lubricant, it does the job but there is alot of spray after.

Yeah, i just bought a new chain and sprocket set on ebay the other day. Got it all put on and just wanted to keep the new one protected properly because of the rubber o-rings between the link plates.

I have been a fan of PJ1 for a long time on O-ring chains. Everyone will have their own preference of course. Good luck in your experience.

What sprocket and chain set did you buy?

After cleaning, this is the lube I use:

Doesn't seem to attract the same amount of dirt and grime that others seem to.

I used maxima for years. Then about 4-5 months ago, they were out and I decided to try the pj1. LOVE IT! expensive, but love it.

I really like DuPont Teflon Dry Wax. Stays really clean, chain is nice & quiet.

man I hate wd40 - its a dirt magnet.

I've used a few things but became a big fan of TC-11. it has staying power, intense anti-rust ability, and does not damage rubber or plastic(think o-rings).
