hello i have a 2005 kx 250 and i am in the process of rebuilding the motor... my friend claimed he knew what he was doing so i let him try to press the cases back togeather and he chipped a peice of the right case off. its right where one of the bolts go in to hold them togeather. can it be fixxed or do i have to buy a new case?

im not an expert but im guessing you'll have to buy a new case. that sucks dude. you could make him buy you a new one since he and his "mechanics" messed it up

That's a bummer. I would think a new case in order to be on the safe side. Although I broke a post in the clutch baskset once and took it to a radiator shop to see if he could weld aluminum. It actually held through out the life of the bike.

buy a new case. theres a chance it could be fixed but alot of places wouldnt even attempt it. to much risk being its on the mating surface.

wow speaking of friends messing things up...my friend bought an 08 ninja 250 brand new last year. he let his other friend ride it, who then stunted it and dropped it on its side and scratched stuff up and all that good stuff. then he wouldnt pay for it and still hasnt. that was back in july
