Hi All: Newbie here: I just bought a KLR650, and I was looking in the accessory catalog and noticed the gel seat. I asked the parts guy about it, as I was thinking of getting the bike a tic lower without messing with the suspension. He couldn't tell if the gel seat would be lower or higher because it comes with a new seat cover. He said there must be a reason. Does anyone know if they are taller or shorter than the stock seat?

Welcome to the forums if I haven't all ready....

I can't help ya much..... I would think it would be shorter by 1/2 to 3/4" or so. It doesn't take near as much gel as it does cushion. But I am just guessing.

ON a side note, I say do the gel seat anyway, even if not shorter, just because of the extra comfort that you will experience!
