Default frame slider install

I have an 05 636 and have been debating between cut or not cut. Any feedback would be great. Also how to. I was reading the service manual and it talks about tightning the engine mounts in the order. If I'm just taking out the top bolts then for the sliders then can I just put them back in? Any help would be appreciated.

Read this thread to give you a background on some frame sliders. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_195..._/tm.htm#20065

Then read this thread on how to install a "no cut" frame slider if you decide on that one. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_161..._/tm.htm#16120
I learned the hard way. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Let us know if you need any more help dude.

I put Vortex sliders on my 05 no problem. I didn't tighten the bolts in any order. Just one side at a time. Oh and if you have a dremel or similar tool, cutting the fairing on the left side is no problem. Just go slow.

ok man, imo, i would go with the cut ones because they are a straight bolt on, the ones that have a bracket that moves the contact point out is going to bend the bracket, possibly shove the slider into the plastic. solid mount sliders will bend too, they are not indestructable but they have less of a chance of failure then ones bolted to a bracket.

look up the torque specs on the motor mounts, do one side at a time, retorque to factory specs and your good to go.

if your anywhere in so cal and dont mind riding down to long beach swing by one sunday, ill help you out. hopefully ill have my sliders in a week or so.

UNFORTUNATELY I GOT THE NOT CUT DELRIN OR DERLIN OR WHAT EVER THEY ARE. LUCKILY I HAVEN'T TO TEST THEM OUT, BUT THEY LOOK TO SHORT TO DO ANY GOOD. MINE WHERE ALL ONE PIECE DERLIN (HARD PLASTIC) THEY DON'T HAVE THE ALUMINUM MOUNTING BRACKETS. STILL THINK THAT THIS WAS MY WORST AFTERMARKET PURCHASE. $75.00 FOR SOMETHING I DON'T THINK WILL WORK.
