Ahh... finally got a decent day to ride for the first time this year. The weather is so messed up here right now. Less than a week ago it was windy, blowing snow and only about 10 degrees and we got around 5 inches of snow. But, i got up today and it was like 49 degrees! So, I put on my riding jacket, boots, grabbed my helmet and was out the door. I think everybody here that has winters like this knows how it feels to take their bike out on the road for the first time of the year. I only road around town for about 10 miles, got some gas, and just got the feeling of riding again. It was really weird riding with snow still around on lawns, though.

she ran exactly as she did last summer. it helped, though, that i put new set of plugs in her about a month ago when i was bored cause i couldn't ride yet. other than that, the new flush mount front signals got some use finally. looks like i'll be able to ride for a little bit tomorrow too if it doesn't rain too much.

 

YEA, I finally put some miles on my new bike, about 150 already this year, and 30 miles on the klx yesterday, the 150 miles was only two different days.

 

well it's nice to start out slow and bulid up your stamina but 150 miles is a sunday cruz. [8D]waiting for moleslut ride reports!

Hey Stone, I know exactly how you felt - I just took my KLE from a garage where they did all the essentials (oil, filters, valves, carburator sync, replaced chain, rings, plugs, etc., fixed some minor things that were wrong) and I got to ride it, wooo hooo. Took it easy and still figured Ineed more time to become comfortable again riding this thing.. it's not like I've been ridingall my life, Igot my license last year. But I've seen forecast for this weekend and we're in for more snow, figures.
