I'll repeat my comments to newbies: Don't do stupid crap, and ALWAYS leave yourself room to get outta the way!

 

Man, Just today some dumb ***** was coming around a blind corner on my side of the road, she's lucky I wasn't in the 1 ton Ford. I wish I could spread that movie... They should show it as a part of the Drivers Edu. course.

 

When I was hit. I was stopped, foot on break, and turn signal on...

Yep, peoplesometimes just dont seem to care. I try to line upto the side of the car in front of me at lights (no...not next to them...just off the the side...still in my lane) so that I have some escape room.

 

Thats why not everyone rides bikes.... we are crazy, at least us klxers, we only weight 500 lbs ,maybe, bike and all, and we are on the road where there is vehicles that weight tons.... always watch, always have room to escape, wear your gear. I have gone off of the road completely already to avoid crap on the asphalt, im glad i have that option, and i wont hesitate to just go straight off the road.....

 

The cage was definitely at fault here. But...maybe that giant set of handlebars wasn't the best option either....sticking out there like that....I'm just saying...
