Default Are exhausts legal in NJ?

I'm a first time rider and just got a Two Bros slip on exhaust put on my ninja 250r. Does anyone know if these are legal in New Jersey? Will i pass inspection?? It didnt even cross my mind till after I got it put on.

Any experience?

ask a cop what the decibel limit for the area is. a and im pretty sure you can get the peak DB of the exhaust off the brands website. and if the cop says he dosent know... then its definitly legal

ive never had a problem as far as inspection goes, they dont even do emissions testing for bikes in nj. Im sure if a cop wanted to he could get you for noise if your bouncin it off the limiter at night. A friend of mine got a ticket for noise in his WRX STI but thats modded like crazy and lounder than any bike.

Yea I actually have been reading that there is no written guidlines in NJ concerning motorcycle mufflers. Nothing at all. So they should be legal, but I'm sure if a cop wants to write a ticket anyway........ well, you know how that goes.
