Ever lose something?

I still have my little Suzuki Boulevard s40, which resembles a classic. I've had it be mistaken for a Harley before(ugh, especially the stereotypes Harley has in the area I live in). I once ran out of gas and ended up on the side of the road. A few guys on sports bikes went right by me and I was feeling a little defeated until a nice man in a truck pulled up and offered to get me gas. I felt bad that a man whose appearance fit the Harley stereotype to a T was helping me out and I had judged everyone by bike preference, but in the end, I think it all comes down more to exactly WHO is helping you- not just what bike they prefer.
I'd totally stop for someone in trouble, but I sadly don't know the first thing about mechanics so I wouldn't be a big help.
