Driver opens door on motorcycle
Agree^ Deej. I always REALLY try to pay attention when I'm in close quarters traffic or in town. If I see someone sitting in a (parked) car, I watch them like a HAWK. I also NEVER ride in a pack with guys I don't know. I was riding home from work yesterday, and I saw this bike closing on my 6 pretty quickly. I had to stop for a stop sign, so I just sat there....watching and waiting; knowing full well where I would go if he got stupid. He came up behind me and stopped like a good boy, but as I was pullling away--turning the corner, I saw he was a. no-helmet, b. dangling chains, handkerchiefs, etc. c. revving the snot out of his 600 like he was Joe Bad. He went peeling across the intersection, thankfully, in a different direction.
Oh brother.....
I try to continually plan my escape route as I ride. After you get used to doing this, if you actually DO need it, there's no drama; you just point & shoot.
**...and the footnote to this is, if you're going too fast to adequately plan your escape route, you're probably going too fast.
