So, does the crampbuster go on the bike only when you're in need of it? i.e. a long trip. Or is it a contraption with a bunch of pieces that would suck to remove when you don't want it on the bike?

I think they are just rubber things that slip over the grip.

i just put the end of my glove (wrist part) over the throttle and hang my hand behind the front brake all lazy, that usailly keeps it in place
