bike
No you don't. You need to learn to ride it properly. It's got as much power as you can use off the track or the freeway as long as you know how to liberate it.
When you stop being bored, then you have the skills to get a fast bike, not before.

I was riding my brothers 600 for a while and i like the feel for it. Then my cousin came over with this bike an r6. i wanted the power so i dont have to be at redline trying to keep up with my cousins.
only time you should be "trying to keep up " is on the highway learn to ride the hell out of that bike and you will find that the twisties are where the fun is and when you are driving it hard into the turn and they are all over the binders getting slowed up you wont be bored any more all you will see is them looking in their mirrors like what the......how is he.... why......
that, is a good question. if you've logged a good amount of riding time, know your capabilities on a bike and are comfortable with stepping up to a bigger bike, i say go for it. you've already ridden them anyway. but once you start to get brave remember this....any idiot can twist the throttle, ride smart, ride safe. don't forget to gear up. but hey..it sounds like we are trying to take the fun out of riding a bike, that's not the case. we just want you to be safe. happy riding, whatever bike you choose.
