Default B-e-a-u-tiful day

On my ZX12R...

I was riding along the coast and came up on a red light. I made my way up to the front of everyone and happened to end up next to a white 80's Mustang convertible with a blower pushing through the hood. Two guys inside, mid 30's. The light turned green and I got a good start - mainly to get ahead of all of the cars I just cut in front of. I heard a rumble next to me and turned to look and that Mustang was running me. Still in 1st gear, I matched his speed all the while looking at him and his passenger (the road ahead was straight and clear)I heard him firewall that suckerand I had to end it because we were coming up on more cars. I snapped it in to 2nd and grabbed a fistful of throttle and it was like I shot out of a rifle! That little white MuscleStang just vanished in my mirror.

I don't open it up nearly as often as I should. When the tach needle sweeps upwards of 7k, these things just scream! I was loving it.

Sounds like a moment in time. Just be careful man. You should write for Muscle Car Magazine. I like the way you described it. Laterz.

I know... I was stretching out 1st gear and when he hit it (I assume he opened up because he lurched forward and his engine noise seemed to double) - that's when I grabbed 2nd and took off. It all happened prety fast.
