RE: '83 GPz750 Revival Project
Thanks,
Well, the cold is finally over, I now have taken my MSF course and got my endorsement. My itch on getting my bike onto the street has increased.
I just got done with grinding the rust off the exhaust pipes and found a couple pinholes I'll need to weld closed. I got new repack for the muffler that had it all blown out years ago... My dream of getting this bike back on the road is now only hampered by tuning the carbs and reinstalling this exhaust.
Wish me luck as this is my goal by the end of this weekend.

Well, I got the rust off by using my buddy's sandblaster and had some pinholes braised on a bottomed-out exhaust system. I got them prepped and ready for 1200 deg rattle can.
Here they are painted now...
And now installed back onto the bike with some new gaskets...
Bike is almost road worthy, just need carb syncing. I got my buddies mercury carb sticks, but don't feel comfortable doing it, so I gotta wait for him. Argh!

Then I run into this as my main fuse blew... I removed the Junction box and I find a surprise. It looks like the previous owner has some issues with some battery acid perhaps.
I dunno how I am gonna replace that adapter... that isn't a generic plug end is it??

Never thought I would say it, but IT IS ALIVE! And boy does it run well. My buddy is a miracle worker! Worth the case of beer... LOL!
Now for insurance, a plate and some of the aesthetics and electrical stuff to take care of, but the bike is now road worthy. Oh my God, such a good feeling to be on the road.
Time to start gaining experience.
