Default 2013 Kawasaki KLX 250S Thoughts

Hi, first time poster on this forums and glad to have found this forum! I just bought a flang bang new 2013 Kawasaki KLX250S from the dealer and I am getting it tonight (At the time of me posting this) and my first thoughts of the bike when I saw it, it`s really big! I am 5'10 and my toes just touch the ground, it's as big as a 450! Although the bike looks really nice, I love the tool kit that comes in the back and how the pre-installed stickers look. Although what I dislike so far is the thin back tire and where the choke is. I personally don`t like where it's placed, but I can't expect too much. I paid 5400$ in total with the tax, they gave me a deal because it's not a Fuel Injected bike and I saying I was going to buy a Honda CRF250L so they gave me 700$ off that's shown on the website and 700$ off rebate. I will update this post when I get to drive the bike. Here in Northern Ontario we still have over 3 feet of snow so i'm going to have to wait !

Daren, welcome to the forums. Sounds like you got a great deal on a great bike. (Personally....just because I'm an old school dude) I'd be glad it isn't fuel injected. As for the snow, don't let a little cold weather stop you. If the roads are reasonably clear, get out and ride! Post up some pics, and welcome to the asylum. HA!!

Thanks for the warm greeting! Well 2 days ago we just got 1 feet of snow in a single day but as soon as I can I will get out and ride! I attached a picture of the bike at the dealer, i'm quite proud of myself because it's the first thing i've ever bought flang bang new! (Sorry for the bad quality I have a cheap phone! :P)

Thanks to both of you for the awesome greeting! Greatly appreciate it makes me feel right at home! (Even if i'm at work!) In about 4 hours i'll be able to jump on my bike and look at it and start her up! Getting very anxious, the minute I have a few minutes i'll taje sine high-def pictures of it, I can't wait to go do the first few miles! I'm sure it'll have a lot of power compared my last bike I used to own a 1985 Honda Aero 80 cc ! I tdied after 25,000 KM and I thought it was time for a new toy!

Oh yeah, Northern Ontario, I must have skimmed past that part. LOL I'm known for doing that. Do I detect a French accent in your post?

Yes, i'm pure french from Northern Ontario, near Timmins! I'm trying my best to write english well but it's kinda hard sometimes! I try though

Edit : Before I forget, does anybody know where to get graphics kit for this bike? I've quickly looked around but mostly are for KLX motorcross and if i'm correct it's made differently, I like the plain look but knowing me in a few months i'll want a change or something. Jw, thanks!

Congrats on the new ride daren. Welcome to KF

Watch out for deej.....he may suggest that you add purple and pink handlebar tassles to your ride to match his. (Some people never hit puberty.)
