it's about 600 miles for me where as Laguna is 2000...

yeah, a 2000 mile trip needs to be planned out for at least a 3 day ride. And that hurts so a week trip would be more enjoyable for sure.

when I was stationed in SOCAL I would ride my gixxer 600 from there to Maine in 2.5 days!!! I would ride 18 hour days and not really obey the speed limits...of course I was 19 back then...I wound up doing that trip a couple of times...I put 36,000 miles on that bike in under a year and a half...

Yes, you do have lots of time for planning.
But it would be good to get a list of all that would be coming.
for camping sites.

Now this is cool to see. All of these offers for a crash pads for KF however we are trying to get a head count for campsites, possible extra curricular activities ie entertainment, etc.

some people from the Repsol forum rented out a house for the weekend and had a huge BBQ in Monteray...everybody chipped in...
