Default 1st ride on my 250 last night...

So after I got home from work last night I decided to take my Ninja 250
out for the first time since buying it on Monday. The guy I bought it from was nice enough to let me test ride it in his neighborhood, but I never got it up past 35 or so.

Last night I took it about 3 miles down the highway to the post office to mail a letter, and I have to say that I am "sold". In fact, I don't know if I'll be riding my crusier again anytime soon. It probably sounds silly but last night was my first real time to ride a sportbike, and just in the way it took curves and the feeling of getting it up to 90 and flying over the hills out where I live; was amazing.

I definately didn't want to take it back home, or even go home for that matter. I could have rode for hours. It was like a drug, which I haven't done in many years. Definately way more addictive than anything I have experienced in a long time.

Now I really want a 650r / Zx-6r or something bigger. I really love what I bought, and it will be great starting out on; but I'm already feeling that "want" for more. What an evil craving that is huh???

Anyhow, thanx for listening everyone. And for welcoming me to the forums!!!

once a sportbike is in your head, it never leaves. True it takes a certain personality and you either are or aren't a sportbiker, but if you are, and you got a taste, the rest is history.

Unless you try a DS bike then you'll be like "what sports bike? "Oh I sold that and bought a KLX and haven't looked back."[8D][8D][8D]Just messing with you guys, you know its all good.

do not get the 500R you will be dissapointed. I would first find a 6R to borow or rent before you buy one. They havesport and super sport. All of your sport bikes will be a lot more comfortable like the5R or 636which is a very good choice by the way. But if you decide the super sport get the 6R or 636. I went from a 250R to a 636 and was very happy. But I love speed to though. But if you want something that is more comfortable and don`t have to get off every 20 miles or so stay with the 650R.

I do not understand this statement 520:
But if you want something that is more comfortable and don`t have to get off every 20 miles or so stay with the 650R.
Did you mean 200 miles?
